The four temperaments
Temperament is the constitution you were built with. Crystals and Programs are the software running on top of it. Choose a dominant temperament, then a neighbor, and read your blend.
RGP reads biotype from the body (proportions, skin, jaw, hands, where fat is stored) plus medical history, not from a questionnaire. Choosing here is a starting point, not a diagnosis.
1. Pick your dominant·2. Pick a neighbor (optional)

Where temperaments tend to show up in the crystals
Interpretive overlay, not canon. A reading of where each temperament tends to show up among the six crystals. It is not from RGP or the HOS canon.
- C1Schizoid
- C2Oral
- C3Top-Heavy
- C4Bottom-Heavy
- C5Masochist
- C6Rigid
The 16 combinations
Four primaries by four secondaries gives 16 cells. Under the neighbor rule, 4 are pure, 8 are neighbor blends, and 4 are blocked opposites.
| Chol. | Sang. | Phle. | Mela. | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chol. | Pure | Blocked (opposite) | ||
| Sang. | Pure | Blocked (opposite) | ||
| Phle. | Blocked (opposite) | Pure | ||
| Mela. | Blocked (opposite) | Pure |
The 16 count is as reported by the user from RGP's teaching. The pure cells are not yet confirmed in the source.
Biology vs personality
Biology is what you are built as. Personality is what you act like (a DISC style). When the two differ, the RGP method reads the gap as a clue to an early adaptation, often tied to how a child interpreted the mother (internal security, worth) and the father (external security, risk-taking). Use it as a question to explore, not a diagnosis.
- CholericDominant (the Controller)
RGP asks, when a non-choleric person acts choleric, about not feeling loved by the mother.
- SanguineInfluencer (the Promoter)
RGP reads a sanguine style as a sign of having received a lot of mother and a lot of father.
- MelancholicConscientious (the Analyzer)
RGP reads this style as a child who felt misunderstood by both parents.
- PhlegmaticSteady (the Supporter)
